ABOUT US
We are Canadian Catholic Campus Ministry
Rooted in the Catholic faith and sharing the Church’s mission to live and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Canadian Catholic Campus Ministry (CCCM) is a professional network for campus ministers to share their expertise and mutually support each other.
CCCM is the leading voice in the field of campus ministry in Canada.
Our goal is to elevate the profession of campus ministry so that more students will be led to Christ. Our vision is to set the standard for professional Catholic campus ministry in Canada.
A dynamic, faith-filled, active campus ministry can encourage and assist students in developing their spiritual self in conjunction with the intellectual and social development during their university years.
OUR VALUES
“CCCM supports me on my campus and offers me the opportunity to share our experiences with others across the country.”
Sister Sue Kidd CND, Campus Ministry at UPEI

We strive to be fully responsible and honest, in accordance with our vision.
Our History
Canadian Catholic Campus Ministry (CCCM) is grounded in the tradition of the Roman Catholic Church, inspired by the vision of Vatican II. CCCM exists to bring the Gospel of Christ to the academic world through a national network; the ministry of the Board; publications, programs and other means of sharing resources; national and regional Campus Ministers’ and Students’ conferences.
CCCM has its roots in the early Catholic Colleges in Canada, dating back over 200 years. His Eminence Cardinal McGuigan was its first Episcopal moderator in 1946. The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) named the first National Chaplain in 1948. The Canadian Catholic Student Association (CCSA) is intrinsically linked to the CCCM by history, mission and spirit.
It is a member of one of the oldest international student movements, the International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS). CCCM is recognized as a private lay association of the faithful by the CCCB (2011).
