2026 CCCM Conference

Journeying Together: Implementing Synodality on Campus

About the conference

Rooted in the Catholic faith and sharing the Church’s mission to live and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Canadian Catholic Campus Ministry (CCCM) is a professional network for campus ministers and chaplains serving post-secondary institutions across Canada, along with dedicated ministry partners.

Together, members share their expertise, resources, and experiences to strengthen campus ministry and support one another in their vital work with students and academic communities.

Our annual conference provides:

  • Professional Development – Practical workshops and formation opportunities tailored to campus ministry.

  • Spiritual Nourishment – Prayer, liturgy, and reflection grounded in the rich traditions of the Catholic Church.

  • Networking & Community – Meaningful connections with a dynamic and supportive group of colleagues from across the country.

This gathering is more than a conference—it is a time of renewal, collaboration, and shared mission in service of the Gospel.

2026 CONFERENCE: JOURNEYING TOGETHER: IMPLEMENTING SYNODALITY ON CAMPUS

Pope Leo encourages us to integrate synodal methods at the local parish and campus levels as well as the diocesan level. The Church’s call to to continue the journey towards synodality invites all members of the People of God to walk together—listening deeply, discerning prayerfully, and participating actively in the mission of Christ. For Catholic campus ministers, this call holds particular significance. University communities are places of dialogue, questioning, diversity, and formation, making them fertile ground for cultivating a truly synodal Church.

This conference explores concrete ways of implementing synodality in the context of Catholic campus ministry.  We will hear keynote presentations on real-life applications of synodality in various ministry contexts within a rhythm of prayer and reflection, spiritual conversation and sharing best practices. Participants will develop confidence in applying the principles of synodality and some of the tools of communal discernment to deepen and enrich campus ministry programming for the students, staff, and faculty they serve.
